Blackburn Diocesan Board of Education in partnership with
Saint Stephen on-the-Cliffs, Blackpool and Bispham High School - Arts College
wish to appoint a Youth & Community Worker


Salary £17,000—£20,000 pa


To develop the ministry among young people aged 11 – 18 in the parish of St Stephen on-the-Cliffs, and to work alongside the school community at Bispham High School-Arts College; an 11 – 16 community school affiliated to Blackburn Diocesan Board of Education. Bispham High School has established a national reputation as a successful Arts College committed to promoting the success of all its students in a warm and caring environment with a particular emphasis on the power of the Arts to encourage learning. St Stephen on-the-Cliffs in North Shore, Blackpool has a rich tradition of Anglo Catholic worship and links to the performing arts and music. The church has on-going commitment to work amongst children and young people in the parish and community through new initiatives including the development of multi-sensory worship.
We are looking for an experienced and versatile Christian Youth Worker who can embrace the work with young people across both school and parish within the spirit of the affiliation. The successful applicant will need to be enthusiastic, with vision, motivation and commitment, able to work independently and as part of a team, and  passionate about enabling young people to explore what it means to be a Christian in the 21st century.
