2015 marked an exciting milestone in Chaplaincy history, it was 10 years since Blackburn Diocese employed its first secondary school/academy based Chaplain, a model that has been used across the country. We are proud of the way that these roles have grown and developed and we are excited by the many opportunities we continue to have to share God’s life transforming love with children and young people. Youth Worker/Chaplain at Archbishop Temple School, Preston
Joe has just joined us after leading youth work at a church in Sheffield. He is really excited to serve the pupils and staff at Archbishop Temple, carrying on the good work of his predecessor.
Youth Worker/Chaplain at St Wilfrid’s Church of England Academy

Tabitha started working at St. Wilfrid’s in September 2015. She’s been involved in work with children and young people for several years in both churches and schools and is excited about this new opportunity. She’ll be involved in helping to plan and lead Sanctuary in addition to work in and around St. Wilfrid’s.
Christian Youth Worker at St Aidan’s Church of England Technology College, Preesall and surrounding parishes.
Opa began working at St Aidan’s in September 2013. His role is split between supporting and developing the youth work provisions in several local rural parishes and his chaplaincy work in school. In addition to this he sometimes helps out lending his skills in woodwork and German.

Helen has been working at St George’s since September 2012 and is currently the only ordained member of the team. She has a varied and rich ministry based at St George’s. She’s recently started a Christian based bereavement course for a small group of students.
