1277 Make Them Count, the National Network for Church Based Toddler
Groups, encourages churches, individuals and toddler group communities
to spend the whole month of June praying in 3 ways – in groups, for groups
and across groups in the UK. The theme for the National Month of Prayer
for Toddler Groups for 2024 was the Parable of the Mustard Seed – the
smallest of seeds which has the potential to grow into a huge tree that
welcomes the birds that come to rest in its branches. Inspired by this Bible
passage and the huge amounts of potential we see within each child, the
Children’s Work Team in the Diocese of Blackburn have created this year’s
series of prayer activities. The themes of the prayers create an essential list
of ‘30 things to pray before you’re four and a half’ – before leaving our
toddler groups to begin primary school.
