Sensory stories are short stories broken up into seven to ten parts designed to engage the senses. Each section is matched with a sensory input to animate it. These stories have proven to be especially effective with children with additional needs, but we think that all children will be able to enjoy them too. This collection of six sensory stories for Easter share the accounts of Jesus’ Entry to Jerusalem, The Last Supper, Jesus’ Arrest and Trial, Peter’s Denial, The Crucifixion and The Resurrection. To accompany the Story Scripts, you will find Storyteller Notes and a list of recommended sensory resources.
There are also a set of Widgit Symbols to accompany these stories that can be downloaded.

These resources have been designed in a way that they can either be used in isolation or as a whole set of resources around the festival of Easter.
