Welcome to the NEW Children and Youth Ministry Self-Assessment Tool! This has been designed for churches to use in order to review their current practices and highlight potential areas for development.
Although the Children and Youth Work Team can view your responses, it is primarily for you, the church, to discern your next steps in this ministry. We will only contact you regarding your submission if we notice something of concern, or if you have requested further support. We may also use collective responses to assess training needs and shape future projects which we hope will benefit you going forward.
Submitting a completed self-assessment will generate a summary of your responses which will be sent directly to your inbox. This is not intended to create a huge workload but can be used to identify one or two key areas where you might focus your energies until you feel ready to review your progress again.
You will need to decide who the best person to complete the self-assessment within your team is, or you may decide to ask multiple people to complete the self-assessment so you can compare your responses! Before sitting down to complete the survey, you will find it helpful to have any documents and policies relating to children and youth work in your church to hand. It will take approximately 30 minutes to finish. We would suggest that you try to complete the process in one sitting, however you can save your answers and return to them later if necessary.
You can come back to this page and repeat the process as often as you like, however we would recommend revisiting the self-assessment every two years to help you measure progress and identify new areas to develop.
